Career Op-paw-tunities

While we’re not currently on the lookout for new team members, we are always keen to hear from enthusiastic, energetic, dog-obsessed superstars for when opportunities available across our locations.

Here’s what you should know about Dogcity Career Opportunities:

As there is currently no specific course or pathway in Australia for Dog Daycare, Dog-to-dog Socialisation or Group Play Facilitation prior experience is not essential. We’re far more interested in people who are positive, eager to learn, team-oriented and genuinely passionate about dogs.

Our team members generally work a minimum of 20 hours per week, and we love our Pack Leaders to have availability across at least three full weekdays. Training is completed at our Kent Town location.

Think you’d fit right into the Dogcity family? Send your resume, cover letter and availability to jobs@dogcity.com.au

WORK EXPERIENCE & VOLUNTEERING

Due to the extensive training required before working with our dogs, along with legal restrictions around businesses taking on volunteers (only not-for-profit organisations are permitted to do so), we’re unfortunately unable to offer volunteer or work experience opportunities at Dogcity.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

There is currently no qualification in Australia specifically focused on dog daycare, and very few courses provide education in dog group play, socialisation and behaviour management.

While prior dog industry experience is always a bonus, what we look for really depends on the role available at the time. Some positions require hands-on dog experience or animal-related qualifications, while others may focus more heavily on customer service, leadership or team management skills.

What every Dogcity team member DOES need, however, is:
• A genuine love of dogs
• A willingness to learn
• Exceptional communication skills
• And the kind of energy that suggests you may have had red cordial for breakfast
