Career Op-paw-tunities
Want to join our team of dog lovers?
We’re currently looking for enthusiastic, energetic, dog-obsessed superstars to join our team, with op-paw-tunities for part-time, full-time and Leadership progression for the right candidate.
With a minimum of 20 hours of ‘work’ (let’s be honest, it’s a lot of play!) per week, we’d love our newest family member to have at least three full days availability. We also have opportunities for school students who’d love to spend after-school and school holidays with the pups!
Prior experience certainly isn’t necessary - but enthusiasm and the desire to work as part of a fun and dynamic team is!
Send your resume, cover letter & availability to jobs@dogcity.com.au
Work Experience & Volunteering
Due to the extensive training required prior to working with our dogs, and the legalities around businesses taking on volunteers (only not-for-profits are allowed to do that!), we are unable to offer volunteer or work experience opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
There is currently no certificate in Australia specific to dog daycare, and very few qualifications actually provide learning in dog group play and socialisation. While prior dog experience is great, the specifics of what we look for really depends on the role we have available at the time. Sometimes we look for people well versed in working with dogs or those with animal-related qualifications, other times we look for people with customer service or leadership experience.
A love of dogs, willingness to learn, ‘i’ve just had red cordial for breakfast’ energy levels and exceptional communication skills are a MUST for every Dogcity position.
